Two weeks ago Fantasy Flight Game published StarCraft: The Board Game. Players take control all of the three races true to the StarCraft legacy. The game looks very nice.
I’ve never played this kind of games before, but maybe now is good time to begin :).
“Including a total of 180 plastic figures with dozens of unit types, StarCraft: The Board Game features an innovative modular board which guarantees a new experience each and every game. An exciting card-driven combat system allows players to modify and upgrade their faction with a wealth of powerful technologies. Players can unleash a Zergling rush, use powerful Protoss shields to halt an enemy invasion, or even dispatch cloaked Ghosts to guide nuclear missiles to their target.” - StarCraft2.com
Blizzard introduced BlizzCast - a series of behind the scenes podcasts. In first episode we can hear Samwise Didier - Art Director and concept artist to many of the popular Blizzard icons. There is also transcript with some artworks. Join and send feedback and you can win one of 12 Logitech 5.1 Speakers and StarCraft II Hats.
I’m back after a few months without update. Blizzard made public details about new Terran unit - Crucio Siege Tank. Siege tanks were my favorite units a I looking forward to new version.
Basic info:
Builds From:Factory Armament:Twin 90mm Cannons (assault mode) , 120mm Shock Cannon (siege mode) Role:Armored Support and Mobile Artillery
“The Crucio has been designed for increased survivability with an enlarged, reinforced turret and hull. The new turret layout also features an upgraded assault-mode armament package so that the Crucio can fend for itself more successfully in an open battlefield. Force deployment costs for the Crucio have increased over the older Arclite, but the increased versatility of the powerful new siege tank more than compensates for the additional expense.”
